Briar Cottage is a pretty, impressively refurbished two bedroom period cottage furnished to a high standard throughout with off road parking and an enclosed south west facing rear garden.
The welcoming sitting room has exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove and is equipped with an internet television and a supply of books. The large, well equipped and furnished kitchen/dining room has double doors opening onto the rear garden.This sunny oasis has a patio with garden furniture, barbecue and a garden shed which can be used for bicycle storage. Upstairs there are two spacious double bedrooms.

Briar Cottage offers a peaceful rural retreat and is within easy walking distance to the popular local pub, The Old Chequers. Friston is a tranquil village within Suffolk’s Heritage Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by arable countryside. There are excellent walks and bicycle rides from the door.

Large and well equipped kitchen with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. The kitchen door leads into the pretty garden.

First Floor:

With a king-size bed.

With two 3' single beds.

With bath and overhead shower, a wash basin and WC.

Outside:
This sunny oasis has a patio with garden furniture, barbecue and a garden shed which can be used for bicycle storage. The garden area is South-West facing and enclosed.
Off road parking.

Briar Cottage is located in Friston, a small peaceful village 10 minutes from Aldeburgh and the coast and 10 minutes from Saxmundham which has the nearest railway station connecting from London. The local pub, The Old Chequers is a short walk away while there are a number of pubs in Snape alongside the world famous Snape Maltings concert hall which hosts the Festival in June and the Proms in August.
Friston is within the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are numerous peaceful walks from the village along with wildlife and bird watching. RSPB Minsmere is approximately 20 minutes away but closer to home there are walks out from Snape towards Iken where seals can be seen basking in the sunshine and numerous birds and wild fowl.
Aside from the attraction of the beaches at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness there are a number of activities to get involved with. Thorpeness Meare is worth a visit for younger guests and there are a number of impressive historical sites such as Orford and Framlingham Castles and the Saxon burial site at Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge has a working tide mill dating back to 1793. The cottage is ideally placed to experience the fantastic opportunities on offer on the Suffolk coast.

The cottage is faultless! It has a luxury feel - from the White Company smellies and towels. The bed is divine, smart TV great entertainment and the log burner a real treat. Did walk at Snape Maltings to Iken church, then back for browse in shops and galleries Love it! Thank you.
