Surrounding local area

Hadleigh is an ancient market town, it is surrounded by 246 listed buildings and offers plenty of history to explore. Don't forget to visit Tito's Italian restaurant, that serves authentic Italian food.

Set by the River Stour, Dedham is in the heart of Constable Country. The attractive high street is lined with Georgian-fronted houses, old inns and a large Art and Crafts Centre. The magnificent 15th church was built from the wealth of the medieval cloth industry. Constable's work The Ascension can be seen within St Mary's Parish Church.

Kersey is a quintessential English village in the Babergh district of Suffolk with lots of narrow winding roads and beautiful historic properties. Kersey Mill includes a gym, an art gallery, a beauty salon, and a florist. That’s not forgetting The Copper Kettle Tearoom, which serves up a delicious afternoon tea, seven days a week.

Nestled in the heart of the stunning Suffolk countryside, Lavenham is one of Englan's finest medieval wool villages. Medieval charm can be found around every corner with its winding streets, thatched cottages and some 320-listed timber framed buildings. This unique village was created some 750 years ago by Hendry III when he granted Lavenham "market status" which stimulated the most prosperous period in the village's history. Today Lavenham is a thriving village with art galleries, restaurants, cafes, pubs and lots of interesting buildings to visit.

Long Melford
As its name implies, this wool town has a long, long High Street, populated by charming independent shops, vibrant art galleries, antique centres, cafes, restaurants, and, of course, typical Suffolk Inns. So, given all of this combined with beautiful architecture and amazing countryside, it is no wonder that this is such a desirable place.

For a family day out visit Hollow Trees Farm - suitable for all ages, the farm trail is a walk around the fields, down into Pogal Pit and into the Livestock Barn. Along the way you will find Dirty Dave the tractor stuck in the mud, the Rolly Polly pole, Goat Mountain, Mini Tractors and the Welly Game. The farm shop provides excellent local produce and is open 7 days a week.
