Things to do in Suffolk: Covehithe Beach

One of Suffolk's quietest beaches, only accessible on foot.

Part of a nature reserve and conservation area, the atmosphere at this beach is a reward for those who find it.

Not an ice cream seller in sight and no facilities as such but well worth a visit if you are after a secluded spot to take in the scenery, wildlife and paddle in the sea. A favourite with dog walkers too. Under attack from the North Sea, you can see the crumbling cliffs all around. The beach is mostly sandy.

There is on-street parking just before the church and a clearly marked footpath opposite which takes you round fields on a single track to the dunes.
